Strawbar, the new strawberry spirit, was presented on Sunday, February 13, to catering professionals from Western Macedonia, at a special event at the Ioannou Resort hotel.
STRAWBAR is the first in a series of products that PHI GROUP is considering for production, starting from the raw materials that agricultural farming can offer in the region. The people who worked towards the creation of STRAWBAR presented their personal experiences of this exciting project and discussed interesting proposals for future steps with the guests.
STRAWBAR baristas and mixologists, having already developed the product in the UK market, offered unique cocktails with creative mixes and showmanship, preparing the recently awarded Strawberry Cosmo cocktail based on STRAWBAR live for the first time.
Exceptional dishes complemented the drink-tasting, inspired and specially prepared by the award-winning Executive Chef, Apostolos Altanis, who has won many awards in Greece and abroad.
The president of the Florina Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Savvas Sapalidis, with whose support the call for the event was made, highlighted the importance of initiative and self-reliance for the days to come, describing this project as exemplary for the development of the region.
The initiator of the project, Mr. Ioannis Papasotiriou, president of PHI, who is also a member of the RGCC Group, presented how the idea of a spirit from the strawberries of Florina became a reality. He spoke about the contributions of science and technology to the project, highlighting, however, that there are no saviours, and that the individual and collective future is in the hands of each of us.
